A 3000 square meter new build including showroom, warehouse and office facilities to replace the previous buildings that were destroyed by a devastating fire. The project involved pad foundations, steel portal frame with 1st floor office mezzanines. The roofing and cladding were kingspan panels with a feature structural glass roof and external facade over a café and reception area. AMG had to work closely with Carvers own specialist fit out contractors.

Project Description:

 

A 3500 square meter expansion to the clients existing hatchery facility was required to meet the continuing high demand for their poultry stock in the UK and Internationally.  The construction involved a substantial drainage package with settlement tanks and sewage treatment plant, the site levels were challenging and the opitmum solution was developed between AMG and the design team ensuring the most efficient solution. The floors were both ground bearing and suspended precast and the frame was steel portal with cladding and brick work cladding. The internal finishes need to provide a hygienic food safe environment and this was created using Kingspan hygienic wall and ceiling panels and polyurethane floor finishes. The M and E installation included new substation, transformer and back-up generator also wash down system and sprinklers. AMG also worked alongside the clients own specialist fit out contractors.

Co-Op Walsall

Project Description:

 

This project involved the demolition of an existing car showroom and the construction of a new convenience store. The construction comprised of; reinforced isolated foundation bases, reinforced strip foundations and ground floor slab, steel portal frame with external walls consisting of cavity wall construction and insulated cladding panels. The formation of the new car park and service vehicle entrance involved extensive drainage alterations and installation of large attenuation tank, followed by Tarmacadam surfacing.

Co-Op Wombourne

Project Description:

 

This project involved the construction of a new convenience store comprising of a steel framed building with brick external cavity walls and plain tiled roof. The scheme required the new store to be built in close proximity to the existing premises whilst ensuring that the existing store could remain open to minimise the disruption to normal trade. The final stage of the build required the careful demolition of the existing aging store and filling station and the installation of new fuel pumps, new filling station canopy, concrete forecourt and extensive deep excavations to install attenuation tanks and petrol interceptors and services under the carpark areas.

The project was won in competitive tender and delivered on time.

The construction first required ground stabilisation by means of vibro piling followed by reinforced concrete foundations, steel portal frame with external cladding and block work walls internally.
